The Idol Experience

So I promised I'd write about what it was like to try-out for American Idol and I never got around to it because I've had limited access to the internet but here are some photos of my 17 hour day. I didn't make it to Randy, Paula, or Simon but overall it was an AMAZING experience. The picture above is when we were standing in line for hours. These two girls were right next to us and we quickly became friends.

In this picture we were posing for the opening shots of the Salt Lake City Idol auditions. Me and Hillary are really classy and held up some "shocker" hands. haha It was 6:00am! We were goofy, give us a break.

If you look right in the middle of this picture you can see Justin G. from the 1st season on American Idol. He works for TV Guide and was filming.

These are some more people we met in line. The guy I'm looking up at was SO AMAZING! I could have had him sing me songs all day. I don't know if he made it or not.

Hillary and I found lots of ways to keep ourselves entertained while we waited to tryout. One of our favorite ways was putting in earphones and "people watching", giving every person we saw theme music. I think the best one was when we saw two police officers leaning up against a fence with their hands on their belts and one leg up. The theme music we chose for them was "Stuttin is a Habit...get like me". Classic.
Anyways, the producer told me I had lots of potential and to get some more experience performing in front of people and come back to audition again. I thought he gave some great advice and I will definitley tryout next year. I had SO much fun but was so exhausted by the end of the day. I think it was the longest I've been awake my whole life. It totaled more then 17 hours being awake by the time I fell asleep that night. It was all worth it when I got to see and talk to Ryan Seacrest though. He is just as short as everyone talks about, but alot sweeter than I thought he would be. That's all for now!
